The story deals with Kenny, his sister Edith, and their friend Benji, who are all but abandoned on a farm in remote Middle America. With little adult supervision, they care for each other, making up the rules as they go. But when Kenny’s relationship with Benji becomes more than friendship and Edith shoots something she really shouldn’t have, the formerly indifferent outside world comes barging in whether they want it to or not.
Slated for a run in October-November of this year, Artists at Play will be presenting the Los Angeles premiere of this play which recently won the Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Citation. Needless to say, we are absolutely thrilled to be sharing this new work with you.
Whether it be through this blog, Facebook, or Twitter, keep up to date on all our goings-on as we work throughout the year towards production!
